Hello, my name is Asuka. As a lifestyle therapist and a Japanese living in Sydney, Australia, I have experienced both Japanese and western lifestyles.

Through my research and experience, I would like to share with you how to manage your hormone balance naturally through menopause age and beyond.
I relocated from Tokyo, Japan to Sydney in Australia with my 2 teenage daughters. Things were not smooth at the beginning. We needed to adjust to a new culture, system and language. Our diet and lifestyle changed radically.
I managed to set up the basics but after one month I had gained weight, and I felt constantly sluggish. I thought at the time I needed to do some exercise.
Then my monthly period started. The bleeding was very heavy and worse than usual but I thought if I just took it easy, it would be ok. However, the clots and pain became worse and I could not leave the toilet. I had to call emergency. There was something seriously wrong.
I had to stay overnight in the hospital and I was worried. I lost so much blood and I was in pain. I was thinking why? Is this because of weight gain, stress or what? The doctor said it was Perimenopause but I thought I was managing my heath ok.
This incident had a big impact on me. Moreover, it made me realize I needed to change my lifestyle to suit a woman of menopausal age.

Research has shown that most Japanese women experience fewer difficulties with menopause than the average western woman. Not only that, Japanese women have less obesity and are among the healthiest in the world. They are very energetic and look so much younger. I wonder why?
